Ai in school to What’s coming in 15 Years?

How should schools curriculumns change? We need a whole value shift with AI. Because, when these kids graduate and get out in the “world”, they face a reality where almost every value production is either replaced or accelerated by AI.

I am trying to think how the new world will look like, and we can prepare aspiring generation to cope with it. I found several initiatives to help teachers to teach better using AI, which is great. But what about the children and the current curriculumn. Is there active studies going into that field. Like what the world would like like when your Middle School kids pass out of college? in next 10-15 years?

I might be precieving this from a bubble, since I’m in tech and watching how rapid this wild fire is. So I tend to be concious that there is people and societies not fully educated or adapt to AI. But I know for a fact that it will change. Like my parent having a hard time figuring out smart phone with 200+ app open and running in the background. Well for my generation, it was like back of our hand.

So what are some ideas thinking a 5th grader in school.

Tech them how to think like a computer early on. Progarmming early basic C lessons to make cool art work. It will help them undertsand how it works. Just understasnd it like a story, of this is this and that and at the fundamental level this is what it is. 1s and 0s. Flipflops. Stacked a trillions of them together.

Then, teach them in simple terms what LLMs are. They are guessers. With massive amount of data. Bigger the data and processing power, better the guess. And give an idea about using statistics for prediction and that how they work. Then other model approaches and algorithms in simple terms. Prediction models etc.

Then teach them how to mix AI with rest of their subjects, like Maths with AI, Physics with AI etc. The idea is to let them know there is an easy way for these problem, where there is zero expense of their intellect or creativity.

Then we need to teach why not to use AI. Because it is not the outcome, it is the effort that make us learn. That there is a way to achive somehting with shortcut AI, where it’s a second brain. Yet we still need to use our brain. And the curriculumn should reward that effort not outcome. How do we do that, I dont know.

They should be aware that these technologies are tools not substitutes for living. And it’s bad uses should be informed. And educate fake content, and teach them early to understand a video they are seeing might not be true at all.

Later, preparing them to find a job. Nop dont do that. Prepare them to love. and find what they love doing. and encourage them to do it, despite, cultural financial expectation of making money. So if not making money, how one earn a living? If much of the trades are taken away with AI how do someone earn?

So they learn the polytechnical skills, which also getting replaced with machines.

Humans are orchestrator, atleast for now, which will soon change as well. That is every value humans have produced will be carried out by AI. Then the requirement for “economy” perishes.

So maybe after 10-15 years, there will be an economic crash followed by rapid “value creation” replacement by AI, which followed by an eradication of a concept of “economy”. Good are produced despite if human involve or not. A few humans to just oversee it just for the sake of it.

At that point, we get food, and living essential at our door step, as decided by an AI. An we human spend time “living”..? really? Doing what? “Teaching”, “Trying to be human?” like learning to do shit for fun. Because if AI is intelligent than us, why us to invent anything?

So to live in that society, what do our kids need? They need to know what makes us human, and how to keep at it despite it has no need in the world, except keeping our species sane or human?
